I am a srcondary english teacher..Second language teacher . My class is about 40 students. How can i best control my class?
You can get example from my history teacher. He tried to joke us and says funny things about us. He always talk interesting stories about the ancient world during the lessons. And he uses a mindmap to explain the lessons better. When the class become noisy, he usually makes us quiet. Sometimes he shouted or give us a break. My class is really obedient, he would only give us permission to move around but not too much noise.Try your lessons to be active and funny and interesting. Just because he is a good teacher, we still haven't forgotten him. But don't let your class to take this oppotunity to get noisy. One thing is my teacher never scolds people without a valid reason. Instead, he tried to joke so that the class is more active and more attentive and enjoy the lesson.
Try this way. Wish you all the best and good luck. How can i best control my class?

Talk to you fellow teachers in your school about what classroom management formats are already in place for discipline. The students will respond quicker to something already in place in the other classrooms.

Instead of constantly talking at them and telling them to be quiet, try talking to them and try relating the class material to what the are tlaking about. if that fails start kicking people out of class,
Best reference books (there are websites, too)

best way to control them is not to show up for class! lol
Well, first you need to know how to use spellcheck. Then, set up
