Gas prices are destroying the working class people.why isn';t anyone trying to control this situation?

the white house , the wealthy, etc. doesnt seem to care, by the way the average joe is the one that keeps america alive.Gas prices are destroying the working class people.why isn';t anyone trying to control this situation?
For average citizens, it's due to a lack of alternative choices. Until we begin electing people who care enough to really get to the bottom of the problem and build on ways to correct it, and want to, ...sorry, but we're stuck with what we've got.Gas prices are destroying the working class people.why isn';t anyone trying to control this situation?
The White House IS doing something about it. Americans pay less for gas the almost every single other country in the world that isn't a member of OPEC because of what the White House is doing. Some people just won't be happy unless government officials are standing at the pump to use their own credit card to buy gas for ';Average Joes.'; Quit griping and get an efficient car. There's an American made car that drives its first 40 miles on electricity only before a gas engine kicks in. If you drive less than 40 miles a day, you could be paying nothing for gas. Even if you drive more than that you could be paying far less than you are now. If average Joes are paying too much for gas it's because of their below average intelligence.
the working class people are the wealthy. poor people can't afford all the costs of running a vehicle. The working classes should take the bus. The benifit is they have more money for their alcohol and drug addictions. The car is a luxury item and is one reason the working class work. They want these luxury items. with people dying under tons of rubble in China and starving etc... in Burma, your gas prices are of small concern.
Gas prices are not destroying anything.

Americans being lazy is destroying America.

Think, there is no law that says you MUST PURCHASE GAS.

People choose to drive cars, choose where to work, choose where to live. In a free capitalist society, those should be informed choices. Liberals, environmentalist and economists have predicted this for over a decade. WE WERE TOO LAZY OR STUPID TO LISTEN.
You have to understand -money is power and no one has more then the oil companies - congress is bought and paid for by the oil companies- congress will never do nothing to control the oil companies The only answer to the oil problem is the nationalization of the oil companies, and congress can't do it - the oil companies now own the U.S. Our two men in the highest office in the land are puppets of big oil companies.

This problem with big oil goes back a long ways. In the state of Louisiana, we once had a senator by the name of Russell Long- the son of Huey P,Long . He served in the senate for many years and represented the interests of big oil on every vote that he cast, no matter how detrimental to the general public it may have been- Toward the end of his career, he was asked why did he never cast a vote that was against the interests of the oil companies, and he replied ';What's good for the oil companies , is good for the state of Louisiana';

We have a very high tolerance rate in Louisana for political corruption, and general nuttiness. Once Russell Longs cousin Earl K. long. had served as governor- at some point he devolped proplems and had to be put in a mental institution-When the next election cycle came around he ran for governor again the day he got out of the hospital- he campaigned in t-shirt, suspenders, and barefooted and with a head of uncombed hair- he won by a landslide- The point that I am trying to make is perhaps the rest of the nation is as tolerate of corrupt politicians and businesses as the state of Louisiana is.
Plain and simple, because the White House has no control over it. President Bush has already stated that if congress would put something on his desk, he'd sign it ASAP. At this point, it's not even OPEC's fault. And ';the wealthy';? Wealthy Americans don't have any say on gas prices. They're suffering just like the rest of us, only difference is that they don't feel it as hard

I agree, however, it is folks like you and me who keep this country running, no doubt.
not only are the oil prices going through the roof food, clothing, home insurance health insurance you name it we got high prices and its all our fault we put an oilman in the white house and he runs it like a chess game and we stand by saying nothing i feel we are in a sinking boat if someone does not speak up and do something who can afford another car who can afford babysitting who can afford another 6 years of the same old chess game we can't!
Everybody that voted for Bush are really getting Karma right now...He did this...I don't see why everybody else has to suffer though...The war is causing the high gas...oh btw why didn't Bush speak up about all the recalls in the USA....The pet foods..meat..salad...the lead in the toys...He's so busy trying to find Bin Laden..and focusing on other countries..Btw...remember Hurricane Katrina...Many of those people are still without homes..Where's Bush..He only cares about his power and the upper class...Screw the upper class...There is so much going wrong.....BTW we all have the right to question our government...I mean come on..look at what happened with the water ..this country is falling apart bit by bit
i listened to the radio today and the host played soundbites from the last 6 or 7 presidents. each of them saying that america needs to become less dependant on forien oil and make strides for alternative solutions....that went back about 50years ago and we are still no farther along...sorry people, but it's not getting any better. buy a smaller car or get a second job...
For one moment I thought you were talking about gas that we use for heating and cooking.

The rich can afford to sustain the high costs. It is always the mortals like us to bear the blunt of any suffering.
It will be dog eat dog very soon. Rich vs. Poor. I believe that there will be another revolution where the working class rises up violently against the oppressors.

History always repeats itself.

EAT THE RICH!!!
Maybe this is something nobody can help.
Because slaves don't matter.
