I was watching this show on Spike called ';Surviving Disaster'; where they teach you what to do if you are on a plane that gets hijacked - how to gain back control, etc and it could be really valuable and help avoid disasterShould everyone take a class in how to fight back hijackers and regain control of a plane before they fly?
But what if the hijackers take the course?Should everyone take a class in how to fight back hijackers and regain control of a plane before they fly?
I think it is good if people can band together to fight the hijackers but real life situations would be far different from the training received. Also if the hijackers have guns, then a different strategy would have to be used versus if they only had a knife. The passengers need to assess how many hijackers there are before taking the right course of action as well. Also there needs to be a number of passengers brave enough to take them on.
Fortunately the pilots will not let the hijackers in to take control of the aircraft so at least that is one good thing and hopefully there may be air marshalls on board.
Well, if you have 15 hijackers and 60 othe passengers, bum rushing them is a pretty good strategy. Not a whole lot of instruction necessary, you simply run towards them with three other people behind you and you tackle them.
Too many heroes spoil the rescue.
With passengers greatly outnumbering hijackers, it would be easy for them to just rush the hijackers and overwhelm them. No training necessary.
