What do you class as being controlled by your man?

If you don't feel that you can stand up to him, that your voice is heard equally, and that you call some of the shots, there is a problem.


Most of these people think relationships are about ';not letting anyone tell me what to do....'; that's why you all fail at relationships.


Marriage, relationships... ALL ABOUT COMPROMISE AND RESPECT. You might have to say, I won't talk to my ex boyfriend anymore because my real man doesn't want me to. That is not controlling, that is being a good partner. The problems come when he thinks he can still talk to his ex if you have asked him not to.


It's about give and take, honey.


Express some needs to your man. Say, ask him to make you some dinner one night and bring it to you in bed. Or ask him to wear a certain shirt one day if he gets on you about your clothes. If he willingly pleases you (and not all the time, men and women are not servants after all, just enough of the time for you to feel cared for), then he is a keeper. If he cannot please you, he is selfish and not really in love. Let him go.


Also... MANY men ';control'; and in fact dominate when a woman does not respect herself and ask for him to compromise for her. Men LOVE to be with women who know what they want and are not afraid to ask for it/get it.


A healthy relationship doesn't mean he changes you or you change him, but you GROW together, support EACHOTHER, and yes, control some aspects of eachother's lives.
