this wasnt accomplished through mind control... it was accomplished with torture and death... the ruling classes KILLED the peasents, peons and lower classes... they were a Law unto themselves.

the main way to control is to keep the peasants ignorant not educate them and feed them lies and surely in time they will not question anything or you could use brutal force and fear that usually breaks the spirit

Keep them divided from each other by way of things such as race, age, sex, etc. Make sure the Black peasants don't like the white ones and vice-versa. Make sure men and women don't agree with each other, make sure the religious and unbelieving ones always disagree. As long as the lower classes are fighting with each other, they never have time to become upper class.





Fear. Make sure they are always worried about what someone from some other land is going to do to them. That way they see the upper class as the ones keeping them safe.
